Business Innovation Factory and Children's Health are looking for Family Navigators to work with us as part of a new well-being program for families within the Dallas community.
The Family Navigator is a new position that is a part of this program, which will be tested over the course of a full year. This will be a part-time (20-30 hours/week), paid opportunity starting September 1, 2016 - August 31st, 2017.
The final date to apply for this position is Friday, May 13th by 5pm.
• Ensure a comfortable, personal connection with a family
• Talk individually and within groups to discuss hopes, dreams, and challenges
• Help individuals and families reflect on what’s going well and what they want to improve
• Establish meaningful goals for health and well-being and help create plans to match appropriate resources to these goals
• Make sure families are on track through bi-weekly check-ins
• Support families throughout personal and health crises
• Coordination with other program staff
We are looking for a diverse group of passionate people to help guide and orient families through the program, aimed at helping families manage and improve their individual and overall health and well-being.
As a Family Navigator, you will help families establish and act on their goals. You will be the first point of contact and support throughout their experience.
